For the last several months, there has been speculation that Biden was going to run or not going to run. In truth, this was most likely a media created narrative. However, some members of the Democrat party just wanted to make sure.
“If I were advising him, I would not advise him to get in,” said Clyburn, 75, a top member of the House leadership and an influential figure in the Congressional Black Caucus. “In my opinion, he would not do himself any favors by getting in.”
Was that a threat? It is almost as if he is saying, “that’s a nice career you have there. It would be a shame if something was to happen to it.”
Considering how the DNC has deemed Hillary to be the candidate, they certainly would not want Biden entering the fray. In all likelihood, he would have siphoned votes from Hillary and made her more susceptible to Sanders (as strange as it is, there are some people who vote for Biden).
Regardless of whether or not it was a threat, the Democrats got what they wanted. Biden will not be running and making it more difficult to force Hillary on the American electorate.
